This project fascinates me, because of the unique combination of aerospace and nautical engineering. Both are topics which have fascinated me for a long time. Of particular interest are the seemingly contradictory requirements: being as light as possible in the air, whilst minimizing buoyancy underwater.

I bring extensive leadership and organizational experience, as well as some modelling abilities.

In my free time, I can be found on a sailboat or at the bouldering wall.

My interest in this project is primarily in the technical challenges associated with controlling the transition phases of the flight profile. Additionally, as a paraglider pilot and aviation nerd, I am fascinated by the fluid dynamic aspects of such an aircraft.

I bring experience in 3D printing and technical mechanics, as well as general aviation knowledge.

In my free time, I can be found in the mountains with my road bike or paraglider.

In our project, I am interested in the use and control of actuators and evaluating sensor outputs. Additionally, I am interested in the software challenges of trajectory planning and decisions during diving/surfacing.

I bring excitement and knowledge in the field of programming, as well as my knowledge from my electrical engineering studies.

For work life balance, I like to play ultimate frisbee.

What captivated my attention in this project is the potential to apply creative and innovative ideas to seamlessly unite flying and diving. The fluid dynamic and control systems aspects of this are particularly interesting.

My involvement in small projects related to my studies have enhanced my technical experience.

In addition to my studies, I enjoy playing volleyball and tennis, skiing, and reading.

What excites about this project, is the unique challenge of transiting through air and water. Especially interesting aspects are control systems, and the associated hardware and software implementation.

Parallel to my studies, I have been able to gather some technical experience, which I hope to apply here.

For hobbies, I enjoy unihockey, running, singing and playing piano.

Beginning with a blank piece of paper, with the challenge of constructing a mechatronic system that masters a previously unsolved problem, represents a very exciting challenge. I am fascinated by the interdisciplinary nature of the project, and the distinctive challenge of flying and diving.

My training as a design engineer means I bring experience in 3D modelling and computation, production and project management.

Alongside my studies, I enjoy playing trumpet and swimming.

What excites me about this project, is the breadth of engineering fields and challenges which it spans. Designing a machine which can traverse in and between two different media, is a significant technical challenge, but also opportunity for innovation. This project will test our ability to convert theoretical knowledge into functioning hardware, and to expand our understanding to resolve difficulties which we encounter. I am particularly interested in the flight and dive dynamics of the system, as well as the associated control systems implementation.

Beyond my studies, I enjoy a variety of outdoor sports like hiking, running and skiing.

Embedded Control Engineer & Pilot

Developing a system which fulfills more than one basis function, but utilizes embedded controls systems to achieve multi-functional autonomy, makes "Dipper" a uniquely attractive project.

My contributions to the team include technical training at a higher technical institution, with a significant practical focus, as well as contributions to industry projects. My solid RC modelling and flying skills will help enable "Dipper" to take to the skies.

Finally, I keep my mental skills sharp playing and judging chess, and find balance by playing tennis and sailing.
